Who we are
FatRat.Ink (“we,” “us”) is a sole proprietorship at 5209 South 12th Street, Arlington, VA 22204 — the data controller for everything described here. Reach us at fatratink@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you send a booking request we collect what you give us: your name, email, phone number (optional), Instagram handle (optional), date of birth, your appointment idea and reference photos, and — once you book — your signed waiver. If you give us a phone number, we also keep a record of when and where you gave it (your text-message consent record). Payments happen directly through Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo; we never see or store card numbers or account details.
How we use it
To run your booking: reviewing your request, messaging you about it, taking your deposit, scheduling, reminders, and keeping a record of your visit for touch-ups and future appointments. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for anything unrelated to the studio.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, we’ll text you booking-related updates: your private booking link, deposit requests, appointment times to pick from, confirmations, and reminders. Message frequency varies with your booking activity, up to 10 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. The phone number is optional — everything also arrives by email. No mobile information is shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Who else touches your data
We use a small set of services to run the studio: Supabase (secure database and photo storage), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (text delivery), and Vercel (hosting and anonymous page analytics). Each receives only what it needs to deliver its service to you — none of them may use your information, including your mobile number, for marketing.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep booking history so returning clients don’t start from scratch, and signed waivers as long as the law expects us to. Phone numbers and text-message consent records are kept while your booking history is active and removed when you ask us to delete your information. Want your info deleted or want a copy of it?
